What is your role at Easy Dynamics?

I am a Software Developer currently working on a contract at a major citizen-facing agency where I support the creation of technologies designed to prevent synthetic identity fraud.

Why did you choose a career in tech?

One reason I chose a career in tech is diversity. As a software developer, you can work on a variety of projects. Each project, you get the chance to meet new team members, face new challenges and learn something new — which keeps every day interesting. There is nothing more satisfying than solving a problem — and you get to do this every day. This can be anything from solving complex system-related issues to finding a small bug fix. To be able to come up with innovative solutions to real-world problems is very rewarding.

What is the best part about working at Easy Dynamics?

There are a lot of great things about working here. I love the “West Coast attitude” culture – the company always puts their people first. Leadership is flexible and understanding and continuously adjusts to the individual so that they can perform at their best.

What is the best compliment you’ve received in your professional career?

One of the developers who joined the team reviewed the repositories and told me that my code was actually easier to understand than one of the senior developers.

Which one of our corporate values is the most meaningful to you?

Both people and excellence are the most meaningful core values. I like that we are not micromanaged but empowered to push our creativity in solutions and hold ourselves to a higher standard.

Out of all the company events we hold each year, which one is your most favorite?

My favorite was a picnic the company had at a park two years ago because I met everyone’s families. It was casual with grilled burgers and a little competition with a game of kickball. I also love our annual holiday party because who doesn’t love good food and good drinks and a free ride home.

What one career advice would you give to recent college grads/new hires?

I would say push yourself to achieve excellence but stay humble.

Can you share a fun fact about yourself?

I had twins in the middle of the pandemic which resulted in 3 under 2.
