Summary of Position
EDC is seeking a Mid-level .Net developer to provide the Marine Corps with customization and
integration support for existing and upcoming SharePoint portals. The candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for analyzing and implementing customer requirements by using everything from out of the box SharePoint tools to highly customized deployed solutions.
Qualifications
​Mid-Level Developer
·        Desired certifications: Security+
·        Desired Education: Bachelor's Degree Management Information Systems, Computer Science,
or related military or work experience
·        Must be proficient in use of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and 2010
·        Ability to work in structured, military-style environment
·        Work is aboard USMC MCB in Quantico, VA
·        Ability to start ASAP (within two weeks or less)
·        Must have a DOD Secret security clearance or be able and willing to pass the Secret level
security processing.

Developer Requirements:
·        Analyze customer problems and present innovative solutions up to and including fully
customized code written in Visual Studio
·        Identify and troubleshoot problems in existing applications
·        Provide excellent client feedback and guidance when developing solutions
·        Think creatively and propose solutions which minimize impact on end users and existing
business processes
·        Deploy solutions to test and production environments with minimal disruption to ongoing
operations

Experienced in:
·        Microsoft SharePoint Server: 2007, 2010; Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2007, 2010
·        Visual Studio 2008, 2010
·        JavaScript, jQuery
·        XML, XSL
·        SOAP and REST Web Service

Responsibilities:
Provide support to end users by understanding existing business process then making suggestions for
enhancements to the production SharePoint environment to accommodate desired functionality. The
developer in this position needs to be able to clearly communicate the advantages and disadvantages
of several approaches to problem solving and settle on a solution which returns the greatest value to
the customer. Solutions can include levels of customization varying from mild out-of-the-box changes
to fully developed Visual Studio solutions.
